The Bronzeville Trail
Today, almost the entire Kenwood "L" Line embankment remains intact. We are championing the "Bronzeville Trail" project—an adaptive reuse of this historic embankment into a walking, running, and biking trail. Supported by the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, this project will transform an unused municipal asset abandoned for over 60 years into a vibrant community investment. The trail will spur economic growth, promote healthy lifestyles, and physically connect the historic Bronzeville community to the Lakefront Bike Trail.
